Dear all,

Firstly my apologies for not being able to attend your AGM.  As you know, CSJ was already committed to attending another event that unfortunately has clashed with your meeting.  It is such a shame as I was really looking forward to meeting you all and learning more about your sport.

I had genuinely intended to make it ‘up North’ to one of your rallies last season but unfortunately our sheep had other ideas so maybe next year…!

I would guess that this is the time of the year that you find slightly frustrating: Your racing season is over and the weather starts to get too hot to really train whereas in my own sport of sheepdog trials, our season is just beginning!    But, with dogs, there is always something to do isn’t there?!

2005/2006 was the first year for CSJ to sponsor your Association.  As such I am sure many of you will have had the chance to see a few of our products but we have also developed a number of new foods which I believe are very relevant to your sport.

Sooper Dooper Champ!  

This food is an extension to our extremely successful Champ! range which affords a 28% protein level and 12.5% Oil.  The lower protein version of this new ration has fast become our biggest selling food – suiting the most sensitive digestions and pockets!   I would suggest this food would be perfect for those owning a lot of dogs as the price is right and there is very little waste – something which certainly helps with kennel management.   Also, for those who like to feed raw during the racing season, this food could act as the perfect ‘mixer/booster’.

Command Performance Xtra

CP Xtra is a unique ration that has been formulated specifically to add weight/hold weight in very active dogs.  And it will help with the stamina levels as it contains a very high level of carbohydrates for slow release energy.  CP Xtra is to be used as a supplementary feed and in my opinion, would be ideal to add to your racing dogs diet.

Obviously there are also our existing popular rations ‘Rocket Fuel’ and the ‘Command Performance CP30 (Hi Energy)’ which many of you are already using.   Feedback is telling us that the CP can be used as a ‘stand alone’ food during the racing season whereas some dogs need extra meat with the Rocket Fuel. 

Our ‘Go On!’ herbal supplement has already proved a big winner in your sport.  This ‘racing  formulation’ will help prevent muscle cramps and aid recovery times in dogs competing in ‘extreme conditions’ – whether it be the height of summer or depths of winter. 

Finally, the Crispy Fish Skins and/or Trainers - used as a feed supplement or just as general training treats will provide invaluable energy bursts and help increase stamina.
