| How do you feel these dogs have adapted to the UK? |
Seimann has fitted into the kennel no problem. I had him one day and took him out running in a 5 dog team and he was simply awesome! Apart from an initial wee worry at puddles as he had never seen any before, he has never failed to stand out in the team. I am careful to ensure he does not overheat as he really puts it on the line. He has such a high work ethic that I will be careful when running in some of the higher temperatures that we can encounter in Scotland. |
| What made you want to import this dog? |
I have been to Thomas’ and Birgittes kennel and was really impressed at what I saw. Also, Thomas has changed from sprint to distance ( due to the higher prize money at distance races), so as a consequence, his best young sprint dogs were up for sale. Both Graeme ( who also got a dog from Thomas) and I would never have been offered the dogs if he was staying in sprint. |
| How did you import this dog? |
Quite simply- Graeme Scott! Graeme took a ferry from Newcastle, landed in Stavanger, drove to Lillehammer, slept the night at Thomas’, then drove 3000 kilometres through Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, etc., in the next 48 hours and I picked him up literally 5 miles from my house! Thanks Graeme. |
| Any other comments to add? (Go on tell us a funny story!) |
The dog is properly mad and going into the kennel with him is like doing 10 rounds with Tyson- he wants play and get petted that much! |
| Main achievements for this dog/s so far? |
Blowing me away with his performance in harness. |
